Ingredients – Meatballs

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or a mix of beef + pork)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste – optional but recommended)

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions – Meatballs

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients and mix gently until well blended.

  3. Roll into 1½-inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until browned and cooked through.

  5. (Optional) Toss in extra Korean BBQ sauce or glaze before serving.

Spicy Mayo Dip

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1–2 tablespoons Sriracha or gochujang (to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice

  • Optional: a pinch of sugar

Mix together until smooth and creamy. Adjust spice level to your taste.

Serve With:

  • A sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped green onion

  • Toothpicks or skewers for party-style bites

  • Over steamed rice or lettuce wraps for a meal
