Ingredients
  

Dough

  • Store-bought pizza dough (or homemade)
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
  • 1 cup creamy Alfredo sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1–2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Topping

  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    Roll out pizza dough into 6–8 inch circles on a lightly floured surface.
    Brush edges lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Prepare the Filling

  • In a bowl, combine chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and optional spinach. Mix well.

Assemble the Calzones

  • Spoon filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving a ½-inch border.
    Fold dough over to create a half-moon shape.
    Press edges with a fork to seal. Cut small slits on top for steam.

Add Topping

  • Brush calzones with egg wash.
    Sprinkle extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.

Bake or Air Fry

  • Oven: Bake on a parchment-lined sheet or pizza stone for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
    Air Fryer: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes.

Serve

  • Let calzones rest 2–3 minutes before serving. Serve with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.
