- 4 sweet potatoes cut into thin slices
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 1 milk ½ cup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cayenne pepper
- 1 cup sharp grated cheddar cheese
- 12 cups of grated cheese to sprinkle on
Instruction
- In a small skillet, melt the butter and mix in the flour.
- Let sit for a minute.
- Add all of the cold milk with the whipped stir.
- Season with salt & cayenne.
- Simmer the sauce until smooth and boiling, stirring occasionally with a whisk.
- Lower the heat and stir in the cheese.
- Place half of the potato slices in a lightly greased casserole dish.
- Pour half of cheese sauce on the potatoes.
- Repeat the process with the second layer of potatoes and cheese sauce.
- Sprinkling remaining cheese on top.
- Put a little paprika on top of the colors.
- Bake detected for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit
