
Crunchy Cottage Cheese Chips – Quick, Healthy & Crispy Snack
Equipment

Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese (well-drained)
- 1 large egg or 2 egg whites (for binding)
- 2–3 tbsp flour or starch (optional, for extra crispiness)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Seasonings of choice: garlic powder, paprika, herbs, cinnamon sugar, etc.
Optional mix-ins: seeds, nuts, dried herbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) or air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Blend cottage cheese until smooth.
- Mix in egg (or egg whites), optional flour/starch, salt, pepper, and chosen seasonings.
- Spread mixture thinly on parchment-lined baking sheet or in air fryer basket.
- Bake 12–18 minutes (rotate halfway) or air-fry 8–12 minutes (shake basket halfway) until golden and crisp.
- Cool completely on a wire rack to retain crunch.
- Optional: sprinkle additional seasoning or toppings after cooking.
- Serve alone, with dips, or as a salad/soup garnish.
Notes
- Thin layers = crispy chips; thicker layers may remain soft.
- Storage: Airtight container, 3–5 days at room temperature; longer in refrigerator.
- Re-crisping: Place in 300°F (150°C) oven for 3–5 minutes or air fryer 1–2 minutes.
- Variations: Sweet (cinnamon sugar, cocoa), Savory (garlic parmesan, chili lime), Mix-ins (nuts, seeds, herbs).
- Dietary tweaks: Gluten-free using almond/coconut flour; vegan with plant-based cottage cheese and flax egg.
