Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground chicken (breast or thigh)
  • ½ cup freshly shredded sharp white cheddar
  • 1 cup chopped fresh spinach (or thawed, drained frozen spinach)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs or almond flour
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced, optional)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions
 

  • Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, cheddar, spinach, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Form patties: Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  • Chill: Place patties on a tray and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to firm up.
  • Cook:
    Grill: Preheat to medium-high. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side until internal temp reaches 165°F.
    Skillet: Heat oil over medium heat. Cook 5–7 minutes per side.
    Oven: Bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Rest: Let burgers sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve: Toast buns or prepare lettuce wraps. Add desired toppings and sauces.
