Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract or paste
  • ½ cup whole milk (room temperature)

Instructions
 

  • Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  • Add Eggs & Vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • Combine Dry & Wet: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture, alternating with milk. Mix gently.
  • Fill Liners: Line muffin tin with cupcake liners. Fill each 2/3 full.
  • Bake: Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes, until golden and springy. Test with a toothpick.
  • Cool & Frost: Cool completely on wire rack before frosting with buttercream, cream cheese frosting, or whipped cream.
