- 1 egg, beaten (egg wash) or melted butter for brushing

Activate yeast: Combine warm milk/water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Prepare dough: Mix flour, salt, butter, and egg into yeast mixture. Knead until smooth and elastic.
