Bread & Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2–3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sliced strawberries or strawberry jam

Egg Wash

  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Cooking Fat

  • 2–3 tbsp butter or neutral oil

Toppings (Optional)

  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate drizzle

Instructions
 

  • Make the Filling In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in strawberries or swirl in jam.
  • Assemble Sandwiches Spread filling on 4 slices of bread. Top with remaining slices to form sandwiches. Press gently.
  • Prepare Egg Wash Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a shallow bowl.
  • Dip & Fry Dip each sandwich in egg wash, coating both sides. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry sandwiches 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  • Drain & Serve Transfer to paper towels to drain. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with toppings of choice.
