Equipment

  • Air fryer (4–6 quart recommended)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs or spatula
  • Optional parchment liners for easy cleanup

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes (Russet, Yukon Gold, or red)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: parsley, chives, or shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Prep Potatoes: Wash, peel if desired, cut into cubes. Soak in cold water 20 minutes, then pat dry.
  • Season: Toss potatoes in oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place potatoes in basket in a single layer. Cook 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway.
  • Finish: Garnish with herbs or cheese. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket: ensures even crisping.
  • Shake halfway: for uniform texture.
  • Russets crisp best, Yukon Golds stay creamy.
  • Variations: Cajun spice, garlic parmesan, or breakfast-style with peppers and onions.
