Equipment

  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowls
  • Sharp knife and cutting board
  • Pastry brush
  • Cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare Chicken Filling: Mix shredded chicken with parmesan, cream, garlic, herbs, butter, salt, and pepper. Chill for 20 minutes to firm.
  • Shape Pastry Clouds: Cut puff pastry into squares. Place a spoonful of filling in the center. Fold edges over and seal tightly.
  • Egg Wash: Brush tops with beaten egg for golden color.
  • Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake for 18–20 minutes until puffed and golden.
  • Optional Sauce: Serve with creamy parmesan sauce or garlic aioli for dipping.
  • Serve: Arrange on a platter or serve individually with garnish.

Notes

  • Variations: Add jalapeños for spice, sun-dried tomatoes for Mediterranean flair, or make mini bombs for party platters.
  • Storage: Refrigerate up to 3 days; freeze unbaked bombs for 2 months.
  • Reheating: Best reheated in oven or air fryer to restore crispness. Avoid microwaving.
  • Pairings: Serve with salads, roasted vegetables, or pasta, and pair with white wine or sparkling water.
  • Common Mistakes: Bake at high heat to avoid soggy pastry, seal edges tightly to prevent leaks, and don’t overcook chicken before stuffing.
