Ingredients

Instructions
 

  • Brew Coffee: Prepare strong coffee or espresso and let it cool slightly.
  • Mix Batter: In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and cooled coffee until smooth.
  • Bake: Pour batter into greased cake pans. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool: Let cakes cool completely on a rack before frosting.
  • Prepare Frosting: Beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add a splash of coffee or cream for flavor.
  • Assemble: Layer cakes with frosting, spreading evenly. Chill briefly for stability.
  • Decorate: Dust with cocoa powder, drizzle caramel, or garnish with coffee beans.
