Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil (for frying)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or sriracha (optional, for spice)
  • Sesame seeds & scallions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Press Tofu: Drain tofu and press for 15–20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  • Cut & Coat: Slice into cubes and toss in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  • Cook Tofu: Pan-fry in oil or air-fry at 375°F (190°C) until golden and crisp.
  • Make Sauce: In a pan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, and vinegar. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Combine: Toss crispy tofu in sauce until coated.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions. Serve immediately with rice, noodles, or vegetables.
