Ingredients
  

For Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground pork (or pork/beef blend)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Sweet Potato Mash:

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter (or olive oil)
  • ¼ cup cream or milk (dairy-free optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Bourbon-Maple Sauce:

  • ½ cup bourbon
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley, toasted pecans.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare meatballs: Mix pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Shape into balls.
  • Cook meatballs: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or pan-sear until golden. Rest briefly.
  • Make mash: Boil sweet potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Prepare sauce: In saucepan, simmer bourbon, maple syrup, and butter until thick and glossy.
  • Assemble: Spoon mash onto plates, top with meatballs, and drizzle with bourbon-maple sauce. Garnish with parsley or pecans.

  • Storage: Refrigerate meatballs and mash separately for 3–4 days. Freeze meatballs up to 2 months.
