  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • ¼ cup honey (for drizzle)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Dates: Soak chopped dates in warm orange juice for 10 minutes. Drain and mash lightly.
  • Make Batter: Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in orange zest, juice, and cardamom.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined. Stir in softened dates.
  • Bake: Pour batter into a greased, parchment-lined cake pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes, until golden and skewer comes out clean.
