Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Cutting board & knife
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds or scallions for garnish

Instructions

  • Sear Sausage: Heat 1 tbsp oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Sear sausage slices until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • Cook Shrimp: Add 1 tbsp oil to skillet. Sauté shrimp until pink, about 2–3 minutes. Stir in garlic, honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Toss until shrimp are coated in glaze. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté Broccoli: Add remaining oil and broccoli. Cook until tender-crisp, about 4–5 minutes. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Combine: Return sausage and shrimp to skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated in honey garlic glaze.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or scallions. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or enjoy on its own.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they turn rubbery quickly.
  •  Pat broccoli dry before cooking to avoid sogginess.
  •  Add honey near the end to prevent burning.
  •  Browning sausage first builds depth of flavor.
  •  Store leftovers in fridge for 3–4 days; reheat gently with splash of water.
