Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • Juice of 1–2 limes
  • ½ small red onion, finely diced
  • 1 medium tomato, diced (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Avocados: Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a mixing bowl.
  • Mash: Mash with a fork or masher to desired texture (chunky or smooth).
  • Add Lime & Seasoning: Stir in lime juice and salt immediately to prevent browning.
  • Mix Vegetables: Add onion, tomato, cilantro, garlic, and jalapeño. Mix gently.
  • Taste & Adjust: Adjust seasoning with more lime or salt if needed.
  • Serve: Enjoy immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados (dark skin, slight give when squeezed).
  •  Add lime juice right away to prevent browning.
  •  Keep it simple—don’t overload with extras.
  •  Store with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface to slow oxidation.
