Coffee Frosting:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp brewed coffee
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter and stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cooled coffee.
  • Add cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  • Fold in optional add-ins if using.
  • Pour batter into pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, until set.
  • Cool completely in pan before frosting.
  • For frosting: beat softened butter, powdered sugar, coffee, and vanilla until fluffy.
  • Spread frosting evenly over cooled brownies.
  • Chill for 15 minutes before slicing with a serrated knife.
