Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream Butter & Sugars: Beat softened butter with brown and white sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add Eggs & Vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently stir in chocolate chips. Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Scoop & Bake: Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 9–11 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly underdone.
  • Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
