Instructions
 

  • Prep Potatoes: Peel potatoes (optional) and grate or partially mash as desired.
  • Remove Moisture: Place grated potatoes in a towel and squeeze out excess liquid.
  • Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix potatoes, eggs, flour, onion, herbs, salt, pepper, and optional add-ins. Fold gently to combine.
  • Form Cakes: Scoop portions into rounds or patties of uniform thickness.
  • Cook – Pan-Fried: Heat skillet with oil/butter over medium heat. Fry 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  • Cook – Baked (Optional): Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place cakes on greased baking sheet and bake 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
