Oven
- 1 lb (450 g) jumbo shrimp/prawns, peeled & deveined
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup white wine (or broth)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional: chili flakes, mozzarella, or extra herbs
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a shallow baking dish.
Pat shrimp dry and arrange in a single layer in the dish.
Melt butter in a saucepan, add garlic, cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and wine/broth. Season lightly.
Pour garlic butter sauce evenly over shrimp.
In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, olive oil, and parsley.
Sprinkle topping over shrimp.
Bake 12–15 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque, and topping is golden.
Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Serve hot.
-
Pro Tip: Use jumbo shrimp for maximum juiciness.
-
Swap wine for broth to keep it family-friendly.
-
Panko breadcrumbs give extra crunch; regular breadcrumbs yield a finer crust.
-
Best served immediately; topping loses crispness when reheated.
-
Assemble ahead (up to 4 hours), refrigerate, then bake just before serving.
