Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Oven (or air fryer)

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, ciabatta, or Italian loaf
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced (or roasted for milder flavor)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch of salt & pepper
  • Optional: chili flakes, olive oil drizzle

Instructions

  • Prepare Garlic Butter Mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Assemble Bread Slice bread lengthwise. Spread garlic butter evenly. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan over the top.
  • Bake Place bread on baking sheet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden and cheese melts.
  • Serve Slice into portions. Serve hot with pasta, pizza, or soup.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic: Bold flavor beats powder.
  • Roast garlic: Adds sweetness and depth.
  • Add cheese near end: Prevents over-browning.
  • Variations: Try spicy chili flakes, stuffed garlic bread, or vegan olive oil spread.
  • Storage: Refrigerate up to 2 days; reheat in oven for crispness.
