Ingredients
  

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup lemonade (fresh lemon juice + sugar water or store‑bought)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or dairy‑free alternative)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs (gluten‑free if needed)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Marinate: Pierce drumsticks with a fork. Mix lemonade, lemon zest, buttermilk, and brown sugar. Submerge drumsticks, cover, and refrigerate 2–12 hours.
  • Coat: Remove from marinade, pat dry. Brush with mayonnaise, then roll in panko seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • Chill: Place coated drumsticks in fridge for 15 minutes to help coating set.
  • Bake: Arrange on parchment‑lined baking sheet. Mist with cooking spray. Bake at 400°F for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F.
  • Serve: Garnish with lemon wedges or fresh herbs.
