Ingredients
  

Chicken & Coating:

  • 8–10 chicken drumsticks, skin-on or skinless
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs or ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1–2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs or panko

Seasonings:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Optional Extras:

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp dried herbs (thyme, oregano, parsley)
  • Pinch chili flakes or mustard powder
  • Cooking oil spray or brushed oil

Instructions
 

Marinate (Optional):

  • Mix yogurt, buttermilk, or spices. Coat drumsticks and rest 20–30 minutes.

Prepare Dredging Stations:

  • Bowl 1: Flour
    Bowl 2: Eggs or buttermilk
    Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs with seasonings

Coat Drumsticks:

  • Pat drumsticks dry.
    Dredge in flour → dip in egg/buttermilk → coat in breadcrumbs. Press gently.

Cooking Methods:

  • Oven: Preheat 200°C (400°F). Bake 35–40 minutes on wire rack until golden and internal temp 75°C.
    Air Fryer: 180°C (360°F) for 25–30 minutes, flip halfway.
    Pan-Frying (Optional): Medium heat with oil until golden brown, ~15–20 minutes.

Rest & Serve:

  • Let drumsticks rest 5 minutes.
    Optional garnish: parsley, lemon wedges, extra spices.
