- 4 cups beef broth (low-sodium)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 6–8 hoagie or French rolls
- 6–8 slices provolone cheese
