- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 6 slices thick-cut bacon
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour (for roux)
- 2 cups whole milk or cream
