Ingredients
  

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers (about 35–40)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips (white, semi-sweet, or dark)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon

Optional Add-ins:

  • Chopped nuts, crushed pretzels, mini marshmallows
  • Cayenne or chili powder for a spicy twist

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Arrange saltines in a single layer, edge to edge. Push any overlaps into place.
  • Make caramel: In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then stir continuously for 5 minutes.
  • Pour caramel evenly over crackers and spread quickly.
  • Bake for 5–7 minutes until bubbling.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel. Let sit 2–3 minutes, then spread evenly.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle over melted chocolate while still warm.
  • Cool completely at room temp or chill briefly in fridge.
  • Cut or break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
