Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry or 6 pre-made croissant dough rectangles
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (or vegan butter)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional fillings: chocolate, dulce de leche, fruit preserves

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll dough into strips (about 1.5 inches wide).
  • Roll each strip into a spiral and place in a greased muffin tin.
  • Optional: pipe in chocolate, dulce de leche, or fruit preserves.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Roll warm cruffins in cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  • Serve warm with coffee or hot chocolate.

Notes

  • Keep dough cold until ready to roll for flakier layers.
  • Serve immediately for the best crunch.
  • Can substitute vegan butter or gluten-free dough if needed.
  • Try flavor variations: spiced sugar, maple sugar, or alternative fillings.
  • For frying: heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry 2–3 minutes per side, then drain on paper towels before coating with cinnamon sugar.
