  • Pastry brush
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or leftover)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional garnish)
  • Extra shredded cheese for topping (optional)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp bacon bits
  • 1 tsp ranch seasoning
  • 1 tbsp diced jalapeños

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make the filling: In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. Add any optional ingredients if using.
  • Prepare the dough: Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  • Fill and roll: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up from the wide end, tucking in the filling as you go.
  • Arrange and brush: Place rolls on the baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with parsley or extra cheese. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead: Assemble up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Freezing: Freeze unbaked rolls and bake from frozen—add 5 extra minutes to bake time.
  • Reheating: Use oven or air fryer for best texture. Avoid microwaving to maintain crispness.
  • Flavor Tip: Brush tops with garlic butter before baking for extra flavor and a golden finish.
  • Cheese Tip: Use a mix of cheeses—cheddar for sharpness, mozzarella for melt, and cream cheese for creaminess.
