Equipment

  • Kitchen shears
  • Roasting pan or baking sheet
  • Grill or broiler
  • Skillet
  • Saucepan
  • Tongs & basting brush

Ingredients

For Lobster Tails:

  • 2–4 lobster tails
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Lemon wedges for garnish

For Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Asparagus:

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

  • Prepare Lobster: Cut shells lengthwise, lift meat slightly. Mix butter, Cajun seasoning, garlic, and paprika. Brush lobster generously.
  • Cook Lobster: Broil or grill for 8–10 minutes until opaque. Baste halfway through with more butter.
  • Cook Pasta: Boil pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  • Make Sauce: In skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, add cream and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened. Toss pasta in sauce, adding pasta water if needed.
  • Roast Asparagus: Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes. Finish with lemon juice.
  • Plate: Arrange lobster tails with pasta and asparagus. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Add shrimp or scallops for a seafood medley.
  •  Swap pasta for risotto or mashed potatoes.
  •  Vegan option: use king oyster mushrooms instead of lobster.
  •  Gluten-free: substitute rice noodles.
  •  Always taste Cajun butter before brushing lobster—it should be bold but balanced.
  •  Leftovers reheat best in oven; avoid microwaving lobster.
