  • Optional: pastry brush for garlic butter

Ingredients

  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub buns
  • 8 slices salami
  • 8 slices pepperoni
  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices capicola (optional)
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • ½ cup sliced banana peppers

Instructions

  • Layer meats, cheeses, and veggies inside each roll.
  • Drizzle with dressing or spread chosen condiments.
  • Brush bread with garlic butter if using.
  • Wrap subs in foil for softer texture or leave open-faced for crispier edges.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
  • Slice and serve warm. Add marinara on the side for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • Layer cheese on both sides of the bread to prevent sogginess.
  • Use gluten-free or whole grain bread for dietary preferences.
  • Try pesto, spicy mustard, or marinara for flavor twists.
  • Make ahead: assemble and refrigerate, then bake when ready.
  • For party platters, slice into thirds and serve with dipping sauces.
