Equipment

  • Saucepan (for steaming broccoli)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk or spatula
  • Baking dish (8x8 or similar)
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, steamed lightly)
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: ½ cup mozzarella or cheddar, pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Prepare broccoli: Steam or blanch florets for 2–3 minutes until tender but vibrant. Drain and pat dry.
  • Mix base: In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
  • Add flavor: Stir in Parmesan, garlic, onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Fold in broccoli.
  • Bake: Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle extra Parmesan on top. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve: Enjoy hot with toasted bread, crackers, or fresh veggie sticks.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: Assemble dip, refrigerate, and bake just before serving.
  • Freezing: Best frozen unbaked; bake straight from frozen with extra time.
  • Tip: Always steam broccoli lightly and drain well to avoid watery dip.
  • Variations: Add jalapeños for spice, swap sour cream for Greek yogurt, or try Gruyère for extra richness.
