Ingredients
  

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 1 tbsp Dijon or whole grain mustard
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-ins:

  • Fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Season the Pork Chops Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Sear the Pork Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté Apples and Onions In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add sliced apples and onions. Cook for 5–6 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.
  • Make the Glaze Stir in apple butter and mustard. Add optional vinegar or lemon juice for brightness. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  • Finish the Pork Return pork chops to the pan. Spoon glaze over each chop and simmer for 5–7 minutes until pork reaches 145°F internally.
  • Serve and Garnish Plate pork chops with extra glaze and garnish with fresh herbs or apple slices.
