Ingredients

Shrimp Cocktail Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce, such as Tabasco, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, or to taste
  • 3-4 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, or add to taste
  • 1/2 cup light chili sauce, we love Heinz
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Grilled Shrimp Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon, cut into 4 wedges, to serve (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds raw shrimp, 16-20 ct., peeled and tail removed

Instructions

  • Defrost the shrimp according to the instructions on the package, then rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place the shrimp on a large rimmed baking sheet, drizzle with 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Stir the mixture, then arrange the shrimp in a single layer.
  • Bake at 450°F for 8-10 minutes or until shrimp are pink and cooked through. If they remain on the hot baking sheet, they can overcook.
  • Combine all cocktail sauce ingredients, adding horseradish and hot sauce to taste (add more if you like cocktail sauce with a spicy flavour, and less if you prefer a lighter sauce). Cover the sauce and shrimp and refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight. Her feet are cold.

Notes

If you are using prawns smaller than 18-25 numbers, roast for 6-7 minutes
