Snowball Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for coating
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are set but not browned.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
  9. While still warm, roll the cookies in powdered sugar to coat them completely.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
