One Skillet Cabbage Roll Casserole With Beef


  • ½ large, grated cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup uncooked rice
  • ½ large white onion, chopped
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 15 oz beef broth
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • Salt/pepper to taste


  1. Preheat to 350 degrees.
  2. Browning beef in a skillet on medium-high heat. Just before removing the beef from the skillet, add the garlic to the beef. Drain the beef.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sauce, cabbage, onion, salt, pepper, and rice. Stir the beef into the cabbage mixture.
  4. Start superimposing your cabbage, beef mixture, and. cheese in a 9×9 pot.
  5. Cover the pan and dish with aluminum foil. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour.
  6. After one hour, remove the pan. Stir and cover with aluminum foil before putting it back in the oven.
  7. Let the dish cook again for 15-30 minutes. The rice should be done and the cabbage soft when the dish if cooking is finished.
