Ingredients
- ½ large, grated cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup uncooked rice
- ½ large white onion, chopped
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 15 oz beef broth
- 2 tsp chopped garlic
- Salt/pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat to 350 degrees.
- Browning beef in a skillet on medium-high heat. Just before removing the beef from the skillet, add the garlic to the beef. Drain the beef.
- In a large bowl, combine the sauce, cabbage, onion, salt, pepper, and rice. Stir the beef into the cabbage mixture.
- Start superimposing your cabbage, beef mixture, and. cheese in a 9×9 pot.
- Cover the pan and dish with aluminum foil. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour.
- After one hour, remove the pan. Stir and cover with aluminum foil before putting it back in the oven.
- Let the dish cook again for 15-30 minutes. The rice should be done and the cabbage soft when the dish if cooking is finished.
