Garlic Beef Pasta

Garlic Beef Pasta is a comforting, flavor-packed dish that brings together tender pasta, savory ground beef, and a rich, garlicky tomato cream sauce. Infused with Italian herbs and finished with a touch of Parmesan, this hearty meal is perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners. Each bite delivers bold garlic flavor and satisfying, meaty goodness, making it a go-to pasta favorite that’s both easy and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rotini, or fusilli work well)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef

  • 5–6 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) beef broth

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream or half-and-half

  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Brown the beef:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.

  3. Sauté aromatics:
Add minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and the onion is softened.

  4. Season and simmer:
Stir in Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Add beef broth and diced tomatoes (with juices). Simmer for 5–7 minutes.

  5. Make it creamy:
Lower the heat and stir in the cream and Parmesan cheese. Let it simmer gently for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  6. Combine with pasta:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to coat. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until everything is well mixed and heated through.

  7. Garnish and serve:
Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Tips:

  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.

  • Swap ground beef with ground turkey or sausage for a twist.

  • Make it spicy with extra red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
