Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in a velvety garlic parmesan cream sauce. This one-pan dish is loaded with bold garlic flavor, creamy richness, and plenty of parmesan cheese — perfect over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes for a cozy, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Chicken:

    • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through (about 5-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness).

    • Remove and set aside.

  2. Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.

    • Stir in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.

    • Pour in the heavy cream, add parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

    • Stir and simmer gently until the sauce thickens (about 5 minutes).

  3. Combine & Serve:

    • Return chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.

    • Simmer for another 5 minutes, letting the chicken soak up the creamy goodness.

    • Garnish with fresh parsley.

  4. Serve with:

    • Pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

Tips:

  • Add sautéed spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra veggies.

  • Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor and a silky sauce.
