Ingredients
- 28 oz. can of whole tomatoes drained
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 teaspoons tomato paste
- 8 oz. mozzarella cheese ball thinly sliced
- Pizza dough
- Fresh basil (about 6 large leaves torn into pieces.
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to package directions.
- Place tomatoes into a saucepan and use a potato masher to crush them. Then add in oregano, garlic salt, and tomato paste. Simmer on
low/medium heat for 15 minutes. - Roll out pizza dough onto greased baking sheet. Prebake dough for 12 minutes (unless it states otherwise on package directions).
- Spread 1 1/2 cups sauce on pizza. Then scatter mozzarella slices.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes (or until crust is golden brown).
- Remove from oven and arrange basil on the pizza. Drizzle olive oil on the pizza.
