Lemon Butter Chicken Tenders Recipe

Lemon Butter Chicken Tenders

Lemon Butter Chicken Tenders are a light, flavorful dish that combines juicy chicken with a zesty lemon butter sauce. It’s a quick and easy meal, perfect for busy weeknights or a delightful lunch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or white wine)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken tenders and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth (or white wine) and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  4. Add the Chicken Back:
    • Return the cooked chicken tenders to the skillet, spooning the lemon butter sauce over the chicken. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to warm the chicken and allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Finish and Serve:
    • Stir in the lemon zest and garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon slices. Serve the chicken tenders with extra lemon butter sauce drizzled over the top.

Tips:

  • Serve with: These chicken tenders pair well with rice, mashed potatoes, or a light salad.
  • Add vegetables: You can toss in some spinach, green beans, or asparagus while simmering the sauce for a complete one-pan meal.

These Lemon Butter Chicken Tenders are tender, buttery, and bursting with lemony flavor, making them a refreshing and delicious meal!
