An easy yet elegant dish that pairs beautifully with a variety of sides for a quick weeknight dinner or special occasion.

Time:

  • Prep: 10 minutes

  • Cook: 15-20 minutes

  • Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, thyme)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Pork Chops:
Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear the Chops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C). Remove chops and set aside.

  3. Make the Garlic Parmesan Topping:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried herbs to form a thick paste.

  4. Coat the Pork Chops:
Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon the garlic Parmesan mixture over each chop, pressing lightly to adhere. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and form a crust.

  5. Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot with your choice of sides like mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
