Serves: 4
Ingredients:
-
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, thyme)
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Prep the Pork Chops:
Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper. -
Sear the Chops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C). Remove chops and set aside. -
Make the Garlic Parmesan Topping:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried herbs to form a thick paste. -
Coat the Pork Chops:
Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon the garlic Parmesan mixture over each chop, pressing lightly to adhere. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and form a crust. -
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot with your choice of sides like mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
