Broccoli Cheese Balls
These crispy golden bites are packed with tender broccoli, gooey melted cheese, and savory seasonings. Perfect as a party appetizer, kid-friendly snack, or veggie-packed treat, Broccoli Cheese Balls are irresistibly crunchy on the outside and melty on the inside!
Ingredients:

2 cups broccoli florets (lightly steamed and finely chopped)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheeses)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup breadcrumbs (plus more for coating)

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

¼ teaspoon onion powder

Salt & pepper to taste

Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for a kick

Oil for frying (or bake/air-fry option)
Instructions:

Prep the broccoli:

Lightly steam or microwave broccoli until just tender.

Finely chop or pulse in a food processor until crumbly.

Mix the filling:

In a bowl, combine chopped broccoli, cheeses, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, and seasonings.

Mix until well combined and holds together when pressed.

Shape the balls:

Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls.

Chill in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to firm up.

Coat and cook:

Roll chilled balls in additional breadcrumbs for a crispy exterior.

To fry: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry until golden (about 2–3 minutes per side).

To bake: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

To air-fry: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
