  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 bag (about 10 oz) tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese (or cheddar cheese)
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, sliced black olives, chopped green onions, sour cream, guacamole, salsa

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Ground Beef:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.

    • Arrange tortilla chips in a single layer on the baking sheet.
    • Spoon the seasoned ground beef evenly over the tortilla chips.
  4. Add Cheese:
    • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the beef-topped tortilla chips.
  5. Bake the Nachos:
    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Top and Serve:
    • Remove nachos from the oven and immediately top with optional toppings such as diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, sliced black olives, chopped green onions, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
    • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Beef Nachos!
