Strawberry Spinach Smoothies
These spinach and strawberry smoothies were hearty on the first sip. They are easy to prepare and full of healthy, natural ingredients, making them the perfect snack! You can make this smoothie without spinach if you like, but I will know that it doesn't change the flavor too much to add. Spinach will make your juice healthier. It's a great way to sneak veggies for kids who wouldn't eat them otherwise.
Ingredients
- honey drizzle, about 1 tablespoon
- 1 cup packed fresh spinach
- 1 banana
- 1/2 pound fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 pound fresh or frozen strawberries, cut into halves or quarters
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 cup mango juice, orange juice also works well
Instructions
- Add the liquid ingredients first: 1 cup mango (or orange) juice, 1/2 cup yogurt.
- Add 1/2 pound of strawberries, 1/2 pound of blueberries, and 1 banana (broken into a few sections). Even a smooth mixture.
- Add a cup of fresh spinach and sprinkle with honey to taste. Blend until smooth and serve to people who are eagerly waiting in line.
Very good! I divided it up between 3 large glasses this weekend as snacks for my family. Even my 8 year old son liked it!
This is so good! Thanks for a great recipe!
Hi,
I was just wondering what type of yogurt you used for this recipe?
Just made the spinach, strawberry smoothie. It’s delicious 😋 this is my first spinach smoothie and I give it give stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
this is fantastic recipe!
Great recipe, but a little grammar correction: “Juicing has it’s place” says “Juicing has it is place” which does not make sense, because it’s = it is. What you want here is the possessive pronoun its, which has NO apostrophe. Possessive pronouns do not use apostrophes: his, hers ours, its, theirs.
I want to make a couple smoothies ahead of time. Do you think I could freeze them? Or how long do you think I could keep them in the fridge?
I tried this as soon as I got my Ninja blender, and I would like to see more healthy smoothie’s recipes on your blog. You know how to make amazing combinations of ingredients!!! I just in love with your recipes!!!
This is a fantastic recipe. Personally, I like the “little black specks” in the smoothie. Brings it some character. Thanks for the recipe!
I tried this smoothie, and it was delicious!! I made it before I went and worked out, and my trainer was pleased to hear I had consumed it. Being a nutrition graduate, I didn’t see the nutritional information, such as carbs, sugar, etc. Can you post it? Yes, I can add up the info for myself, but others might want to know.
