
Apple Cheesecake Buns – Sweet, Fruity & Irresistibly Gooey

Ingredients
- Dough: 3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 ¼ tsp active yeast, ¼ cup sugar, 1 egg, ¼ cup butter, ½ cup milk
- Cheesecake Filling: 8 oz cream cheese, ¼ cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp lemon juice
- Apple Filling: 2 firm apples, peeled and diced, 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp lemon juice
- Crumble Topping: 3 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp flour, 3 tbsp sugar, optional 2 tbsp oats
- Glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar, 1–2 tbsp milk or cream, ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare dough: Combine flour, yeast, sugar, egg, butter, and milk. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours.
- Prepare fillings: Beat cheesecake ingredients until smooth. Toss apples with cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Assemble buns: Roll dough into rectangle, layer cheesecake and apple fillings, roll into log, slice into 8–10 buns.
- Add crumble: Top each bun with crumble. Let rise 20–30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake buns 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla. Drizzle over warm buns before serving.
Notes
- Use firm apples for texture.
- Keep cream cheese at room temperature for smooth filling.
- Glaze just before serving to prevent melting.
- Optional variations: add nuts, chocolate chips, spices, or vegan substitutes.
