Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip Recipe

Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip

This creamy, cheesy hot spinach and artichoke dip is a crowd favorite at parties and gatherings. It’s simple to make, loaded with spinach, artichokes, and melty cheese, and pairs perfectly with chips, bread, or veggies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Prepare the Spinach:

  • Thaw the frozen spinach completely and squeeze out as much water as possible using a kitchen towel or paper towels. Set aside.

3. Mix the Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, softened cream cheese, garlic, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Stir in the drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, 1/2 cup mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Bake the Dip:

  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish (about 8×8 inch).
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top for a golden, cheesy crust.

5. Bake:

  • Bake the dip for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and the cheese on top is golden brown.

6. Serve:

  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot with tortilla chips, crusty bread, pita chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Tips:

  • Make Ahead: You can assemble the dip a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if it’s cold from the fridge.
  • Add-ins: For extra flavor, mix in crispy bacon bits or sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Use dairy-free cream cheese, mayo, and cheese substitutes to make this dip dairy-free.

This warm and cheesy dip is always a hit, perfect for game days, potlucks, or holiday parties!
