Sautéed Zucchini Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium zucchini, sliced into rounds or half-moons
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or butter)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (such as basil or parsley), optional

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Zucchini:
    • Wash and trim the ends of the zucchini. Slice them into rounds or half-moons, depending on your preference.
  2. Heat the Pan:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil (or butter) over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the Zucchini:
    • Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet in a single layer. Allow it to cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until it starts to brown slightly.
    • Stir the zucchini, then add the minced garlic. Continue to sauté for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the zucchini is tender but still slightly crisp.
  4. Season:
    • Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using). If you like, you can sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm as a side dish.

Tips:

  • Add Color: You can also sauté other vegetables alongside zucchini, such as bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, or yellow squash for a colorful medley.
  • Customize Flavors: Feel free to experiment with different seasonings, such as lemon juice, red pepper flakes, or fresh herbs, to enhance the flavor.
  • Serving Suggestions: This dish pairs well with grilled chicken, fish, or pasta.

Enjoy your Sautéed Zucchini! It’s a simple yet delicious way to incorporate more vegetables into your meals.
